If you know that SCUBA is right for you, then this is where you start your adventure.
All Open Water SCUBA Diver courses have 3 basic parts
- Academic
- Confined Water Training
- Open Water Evaluation
Our Academic program is primarily done online and includes the Nitrox Diver course. You will be also provided the books and materials for the courses in order to better enhance your ability to learn. It should take you approximately 10-12 hours to complete this portion.
The Confined Water Training is everyone's favorite part of the course.We teach approximately 12 hours of pool in total of 6 days usually on Saturdays and/or Sundays. We offer this portion in either private or semi private classes.
Open Water Evaluation dives are were you show that you can perform the skills you learned in the Confined Water Training portion in the ocean, river or lakes while observing the wildlife surrounding you. These dives may be done with us locally or you can opt to do your dives elsewhere such as Bonaire, Cayman Islands or even Mexico. Additional costs are charged by the resort or dive shop if you decide to do a referral.
Cost of the course is $1200. You will need to purchase dive quality mask, snorkel, fins and boots. If you already have some please bring it in so that we can evaluate the gear for use in the class.
